OUR STORY
How we met
We met on the evening of 3rd May 2018, in Whistler, British Columbia.
I, Daniela, was on a girl’s trip with Melissa to visit our friend Haili, whilst Harry had just moved from Banff to Whistler with a couple of friends to start his summer job.
By chance, we both happened to be ending our evenings at a little bar in the village centre. Little did we both know that this one bar, on this random evening, would be where we would first meet the person we would spend the rest of our lives with.
After a game of pool and exchanging social media (as you do today), we both went our separate ways.
The next morning, Harry reached out to ask whether I wanted to go for breakfast, to which I replied no – after all, it was a girl's trip!
Fast forward to
Fast forward to 2020, even with many challenges, such as distance, COVID and a 5-hour time difference, we persevered with our long-distance relationship, travelling back and forth for 2 years, determined to make it work.
Eventually, we realized that travelling wasn’t going to work forever, so I packed up my closet (no easy task) and moved overseas to be with Harry, who soon learned travelling was cheaper than living with Daniela!
After another 2 years of adventures and adding our tallest family member, Thor, we’re now ready to embark on the next stage of our journey: Marriage.
